Step Into My Story
My journey to art was born out of darkness. In 2010, I left medical school to focus on healing from an eating disorder that had completely consumed my life. I asked myself, How can I care for others when I cannot care for myself? In that battle, creativity became my refuge- a way to process emotions when words failed. What began as a tool for survival transformed into a path of understanding, connection, and, ultimately, joy.
Walking has always been more than movement for me, it is a practice of presence and a way to align my mind, body, and spirit. My creative process is shaped by wayfaring, an approach that explores how movement influences perception and fuels creativity. Immersing myself in diverse landscapes, I engage with my surroundings through observation and touch, gathering impressions that guide my artistic response. Drawing is my way of listening, of truly seeing beyond the noise of modern life.
For me, creativity is a sacred gift, a way to honour life’s interconnectedness and find joy, even in difficult times. It is a language that heals, unites, and reveals the beauty woven into everyday moments. My work reflects this search for meaning. By slowing down, embracing creativity, and deepening our connection to the world around us, I believe we can rediscover wonder. Through my art, I hope to inspire others to do the same.
